Missions Trip March 2026

Hope Still Rising in the Mountains: Missions in Action

Spruce Pine, NC – March 2026

Our Liberty Community Church missions team once again partnered with Baptist on Mission in Spruce Pine, NC to serve a community still recovering from the devastating impact of Hurricane Helene in September of 2024.

Disasters may fade from the headlines, but the need remains. We were grateful for the opportunity to return to the mountains of North Carolina and continue supporting the ongoing rebuilding efforts.

During this trip, our volunteers helped build deck stairs and accessibility ramps for residents in the community. We were also encouraged to see that the rebuild center we previously helped support is now fully operational, providing an important hub for recovery work that will continue for months to come. The center now includes dorms, a kitchen, and gathering spaces, allowing volunteers from across the country to have a comfortable home away from home while serving in the area.

Our team deeply appreciated the hospitality and dedication of those running the rebuild center, whose leadership and organization are making it possible for many hands to come together and help this community heal.

From swinging hammers to sharing prayers, every moment reminded us how powerful it is when people simply show up to serve. Hope continues to grow with every home repaired, every hand willing to help, and every prayer lifted for the families rebuilding their lives.

We are grateful for the opportunity to serve, encourage others, and be the hands and feet of Jesus as recovery continues in the mountains of North Carolina.

“Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.” — Galatians 6:2

Around Liberty, we believe even announcements should have a little creativity and joy in them… in fact, we insist on it. So we make fun graphics for our events because, let’s be honest—plain announcements are boring, and everything is better with a little personality.

These are the graphics we share on Facebook to grab attention, but if we’re going to document our Moments in Ministry on our website, we’re definitely including the fun and pretty bits too.

#Every moment of ministry deserves a little creativity 💚
